A weekend away? Want to enjoy a midweek with friends or family? Then our mini cruises are the perfect way to explore the Champagne region.
For those who never made a river cruise or canal cruise, our mini boating holidays are the ideal opportunity to try it out. We are sure that you will want to sail a little longer with us afterwards.
Do you have more time and do you want to enjoy sailing more? Then book your room as a B&B the night before departure or add a night after the cruise. In any case, a quiet start or end to your mini cruise experience.

Mini cruises, discovering Champagne
June to September
2 day cruise (e.g. weekend)
Château-Thierry - Dormans - Epernay
Day 1:
- Morning: pick up at Château-Thierry train station (9:30)
- Welcome aboard barge Johanna with bubbles and snacks.
- Cruise with tasting on the Marne. 3 h. quiet sailing with a view of the vineyards and medieval churches.
- Lunch on deck with selected wines.
- Afternoon excursion by minibus to 2 champagne farmers. Visit to a small champagne museum and production with explanation.
- Chocolate and champagne tasting.
- Taste 6 completely different champagnes.
- Dinner on board or at local restaurant (half board).
Day 2:
- We start the day with a tasty and extensive breakfast buffet.
- About 3 to 4 hours sailing on the Marne to Epernay with refreshments and bubbles on deck.
- We pass Chatillon-sur-Marne and Cumières with its statues along the river banks. You can already see the abbey of Hautvillers high on the hillside.
- Lunch with selected wines while sailing.
- Afternoon trip to Epernay with a visit to the famous champagne cellars and to Hautvillers, where Dom Pérignon was at the base of the champagne production.
- Drop-off at Epernay station for your return to Paris or Reims.

- 2 days sailing (4h / day) on the Marne.
- 1 night with extensive breakfast buffet.
- 2 x lunch on board with adapted wines.
- Visit to various winegrowers and champagne houses.

Day 1:
- Afternoon: Welcome aboard barge Johanna with bubbles and snacks.
- Visit of the city and surroundings.
- Dinner on board or in restaurant (half board).
Day 2:
- We start the day with a tasty and extensive breakfast buffet.
- Visit Epernay, Avenue de champagne and famous cellars.
- Lunch on board with selected wines.
- About 3 hours sailing on the Marne. Enjoy the peace and the view of the vineyards. We pass through different types of locks.
- Possibility to cycle along the towpath to the next lock.
- Dinner on board or at local restaurant (half board).
Days 3 and 4:
- We start the day with a tasty and extensive breakfast buffet.
- About 3 hours sailing on the Marne to our next stop.
- Possibility to cycle along the towpath to the next lock.
- Afternoon excursion to various winegrowers with tastings, museums, historical sites and small villages.
- Dinner on board or at local restaurant (half board).
Day 5:
- Goodbye after a delicious breakfast.
